Besides Shabbat and festival services there are interactive family Shabbat services for you and your children. There are many programs specially designed for youngsters from the age of six and United Synagogue Youth for those aged thirteen to eighteen.
There are adult study programs that make Judaism come alive in a new and exciting way. We have a dynamic Hebrew School for children from kindergarten to grade seven, and a unique Hebrew High School. We now offer a new Nursery and Pre-Nursery program. You can expand your social world with Brotherhood, Sisterhood or Club L'Chayim (55+).
It is great to celebrate a simcha at Adath Israel where our beautiful social halls can accommodate small or large functions and where the Kosher catering is amongst the finest. Since 1902, when Adath Israel was popularly known as Toronto's Roumanishe Shul on Centre Avenue, our synagogue has grown to meet the evolving needs of the Jewish community. Back then, our goal was to meet the social and religious need of Jewish immigrants from Roumania. Today, our mission has broadened to embrace Jews in the GTA. We want to demonstrate that Judaism can be vibrant and exciting in today's world. For Adath Israel, our history leads us to a bright future. And we want you to be part of it.
There's always a lot happening at Adath Israel Congregation

- Sisterhood appeals to today's modern Jewish woman, with programs that stress adult study, home observance, current events, a book club and special Rosh Chodesh services.
- Brotherhood enhances its many social activities with shul-centered programs for Chanukah and Purim as well as annual fundraising events that have helped make Adath Israel the synagogue it is today.
- Club L'Chayim, formed in 1984 for members 55 and better, offers wonderful cultural, education and recreation activities for this vibrant segment of our population.

When we want to share a simcha with friends and family... when we're bothered by questions that seem to have no answers... when we're assailed by doubt... or when events and circumstances cause more pain than we want to bear... it's comforting to know our Rabbis are there to help.
- The Rabbis are available to discuss lifecycle events with you - births, Bar and Bat Mitzvahs, weddings.
- Sickness or bereavement can devastate any family. But sometimes, a talk with our Rabbis can make it just a bit easier to bear. And you'll be advised what to arrange... what to expect.
- When you, or a relative, are ill or hospitalized, a Rabbinic visit emphasizes that this is a congregation that cares.
- The Chesed Committee's volunteers, under the guidance of our Rabbis, reach out to those in need of support in times of illness or bereavement.Don't be a stranger. Give us a call so your family can be part of our family.
