Youth
Adath Israel has a dynamic, exciting and educational youth programme
which caters to a wide range of ages and interests. Shorashim is
designed for Jewish children in Sr. Kindergarten, grades 1 and 2
(ages 5-7). Yedidim is designed for Jewish children in grades 3,
4 and 5 (ages 8-10) and Kadima is designed for Jewish children in
grades 6, 7 and 8 (ages 11-13). Programs take place approximately
2 Sundays every month from September to June. The programs generally
take place from 12.00pm to 2.00pm and lunch is provided unless otherwise
indicated due to special programming.
Last year our outings included trips to the Science Centre, Bowling,
Swimming, Whirly Ball, Rollerblading, Mini golfing, and Laser Quest.
Other programs included a Mad Science presentation, a Movie and
Pizza day, Purim plaster masks, Shabbat Dinner Murder Mystery, arts
and crafts, cooking, games, sports and religious education in a
fun and innovative style. All programs are subsidized by Adath Israel
Synagogue.
Don't miss this recreational, educational, exciting program! It
is a wonderful opportunity for the youth to become familiar with
and excited about Adath Israel and our community. Not only do the
youth programmes provide a wonderful way to meet new friends, but
the children are welcome to bring 'old' friends (in the appropriate
age groups) to the programs.
Remember, the sooner you register your child as a member of one
of our youth programs and pay the (nominal) membership fee, the
sooner you start saving money at the programs!
