Judaism has always emphasized education – and never more so than at Adath Israel with formal and informal study and educational opportunities for adults and youngsters of all ages.
The preschool years are a time when the foundation is laid for the learning years ahead. Adath Israel has Tot and Caregiver Programs as well as Nursery School and Kindergarten. These programs provide a nurturing, learning environment, which incorporate Jewish values, traditions and holidays with songs, arts and crafts, creative and engaging story circles, music, dance, movement and more.
Our Congregational Hebrew School helps preserve and enrich our Jewish heritage for children from Junior Kindergarten to Grade 6, featuring a dynamic curriculum and state of the art technology that focuses on Hebrew, prayer skills, and Jewish history.
Children in kindergarten and elementary school are encouraged to participate in age-specific social and recreational programming guided by a committed staff.
Middle school-aged youth are encouraged to participate in our B’nai Mitzvah Club which includes social action, educational, and social programming.
Teens are welcome to join our CASY (Canadian Alliance of Synagogue Youth) programs that strengthen their Jewish identity in a positive social environment and give them opportunities to earn community service hours
Adult study is a focus in our congregation. We welcome you to study with our Spiritual Leaders and other leading Jewish scholars in a variety of classes and lectures. In addition you can study in social groups within communities like Sisterhood and Club L’Chayim.
