TISHA B’AV
Tisha b’Av is the most sorrowful day on the Jewish calendar, memorializing the destruction of both Temples and other calamities that have befallen our people.
This year, we commemorate Tisha b’Av after Shabbat on August 10 through Sunday, August 11.
Among the practices associated with the day are the chanting of the Scroll of Eichah and fasting from sunset to nightfall.
Please wear Shabbat appropriate non-leather shoes.
