Per the Adath Israel constitution, the Board of Governors has standing committees for the purpose of strategy, oversight, guidance and direction as outlined below. We are always looking for volunteers of all adult ages who wish to get involved in the leadership of your Shul, particularly those who have a skill set related to any of the following:
(a) The Facilities & Security Committee is responsible for oversight of security and decorum, physical plant and the synagogue’s cemeteries;
(b) The Ritual & Education Committee is responsible for oversight of religious services and practices in coordination with the Senior Rabbi, the Gabbaim, High Holidays, and the congregational school;
( c) The Member Services Committee is responsible for the attraction, retention and oversight of membership and retention.
( d) The Development Committee is responsible for the oversight of fundraising, special events, and major gifts, gifts and dedications, and catering;
( e) The Finance Committee is responsible for the oversight of the budget and finances of the synagogue;
(f) The Marketing & Branding Committee is responsible for the oversight of marketing, branding, advertising, publications and publicity, social media, website, and all communications related to the synagogue;
(g) The Programming Committee is responsible for the oversight of programming including Adult Education; Youth and Young Professionals; Young Families; Chesed and Israel Affairs.
(h) The Future Planning Committee is responsible for the oversight of strategic planning and IT advancement including integration, improvements, and efficiencies.
