From childhood to Bar Mitzvah and young adult, Willy Lindo was formed in Jamaica. He immigrated to Canada in 1966. Since 2012 he has been fundraising for the restoration and maintenance of the Shaare Shalom United Congregation of Israelites, his first shul in downtown Kingston, Jamaica.
